That said, I've done much more redrafting as I've written each chapter than I usually would. That's because I wanted each to be in a reasonable state before sending it to a beta reader or two, and then I made changes according to the suggestions that were made (not that I followed every suggestion, particularly when certain lines are loved by one and loathed by another).
I'll need to do another two redrafts at least. It'll need checking over and perhaps more changes being made, and if it's ok after that I'll have the dreaded proofread to do.
It'll be trickier than usual as well, for two reasons. Sir Edric's internal monologue is pretty common and therefore there are tons of italics I need to get right. In addition, I'm aspiring to get this released, via Lulu, as a physical book [NB if you're thinking of buying the physical version it'll be cheaper and available sooner via Lulu rather than through Amazon, although it will be sold on Amazon in a physical format]. With an e-book I can fiddle with spellings and upload a new document, and that doesn't take too long, but obviously that can't be done quite so easily for physical books.
It is my plan to write some more comedy in the future, but after Sir Edric's Temple my focus will entirely be on Kingdom Asunder, a 'serious' fantasy that occurs in the same world as Bane of Souls and Journey to Altmortis.
I can't predict a release date for the comedy yet, but I remain hopeful it'll be out this year.
