I will be going through it all looking for improvements and, more likely, cutting jokes that are accidentally repetitive or unoriginal. Hard to see when the text will be in a fit state for publication but hopefully it won't be too long.
Not looking forward to the proofread. Whilst I think Sir Edric's internal monologue works well, the huge quantity of italics makes checking it (twice) rather arduous.
On the Kingdom Asunder front, I'm going to try and up the pace. I've been largely focusing on Treasure, but with the first draft nearly done I want to try and get at least two chapters (first draft) of KA done each month, and more if possible.
Unlike Treasure, KA will require substantial editing. The story will probably be 100-150,000 words, the first part of a trilogy and much more complicated (there are storyline threads to be entirely resolved in the first book and groundwork laid for threads that continue into books two and three).
But, for now, I'm still writing the first draft, which is the most fun part. And I've still got some rather exciting murdering to do.
