Yes, kids, the abridged edition of Kingdom Asunder has been released into the wild. It's a free and chunky (59,000 words) version which includes the Penmere side of the story, whilst removing almost all the Esden chapters. Practically a story in itself, and a hefty free sample of what will become a trilogy.
It's up on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Smashwords and probably many other places.
The artwork is different than the full-sized e-book. I went for the Penmere crest (a white dragon). Varying the artwork will hopefully draw more eyes than simply replicating it, and I may end up doing a Twitter poll to see which is the most popular (for the sake of the paperback that will be coming. I intend to start work on that fairly soon, but have no idea how lengthy the process will be).
And don't forget, Journeys, in which I have a short story, comes out in about a month. So, hold onto your Christmas vouchers, gift certificates and so on until then. Black Sails is really rather good.
