It gets 4/5 fireballs, which I'm pretty pleased with, although 5* is always the aim, of course. Anja and Roger seem to have gone down well (a lovely lady reader via Twitter also approved of Anja).
Duane Vore has written a review (positive but without a rating) of Bane of Souls, which can be read here. I'm glad to read (both in this review and elsewhere) that the world-building seems to have gone down well. Bane of Souls is my first book, and also the first story I wrote with extensive background work beforehand to try and make the world coherent, integrated and credible.
Obviously, writing two books at once is not enough to keep me busy, so I've also taken the time to write a first article for the Chrons website: Grimdark isn't so grim.
There's still some more work to do on the background for Kingdom Asunder, but, apart from the map, I think that's work that can be done concurrently with the first draft. I'm also leaning towards calling the comedy Sir Edric and the Temple, or Sir Edric's Temple. Given the protagonist is the centre around which the comedy revolves it makes sense to have him in the title.
