I'm progressing reasonably well with Sir Edric's Treasure, the follow-up to Sir Edric's Temple. I've done the first drafts of Ch1-6, and have an idea for how Ch7 will go. I don't have a firm number in mind, but around 10 chapters seems likely (however, the average size will be larger than those in Temple and I anticipate Treasure being around 50-60,000 words long).
I'm hoping it'll be ready for release this year.
I've also written a new chapter of Kingdom Asunder, which means I'm up to Ch18 of that now. Due to my unique approach to numeracy and forward planning I have no idea how many chapters the initial draft will consist of, but 25-30 seem eminently possible. Unlike Treasure, it will also require significant redrafting and substantial changes. On the plus side, although there are many things I need to fiddle with I'm confident that most of what I've written will stay and that the changes will largely be either superficial or the addition of new chapters/scenes, rather than mangling what I've already put down (which is more complicated and therefore more time-consuming).
At this stage I'd be surprised if Kingdom Asunder were ready this year, but it's not impossible.
