Two discounts, KA and Journeys for 99p

1/24/2017

For perhaps the last time before Traitor's Prize is ready for pre-release, Kingdom Asunder is discounted (for Saint Francis' Day, and a little while after). It's just 99p, from today until the 27th.

So, if you're one of the surprisingly large number who snapped up the free abridged edition, now is the perfect time to buy Kingdom Asunder.

Journeys, the fantasy anthology featuring stories by Adrian Tchaikovsky, Julia Knight and John Gwynne (and me), comes out on 15 February. But if you pre-order it's just 99p. Stonkingly good value for a book crammed with excellent authors.

So, there you have it. Two cracking books for less than the cost of a coffee.

2017 - things on the horizon

For whatever reason, it feels like the year's been around quite a bit. Maybe it's due to being oddly productive.

In the next couple of months there should be three Things on the horizon. In mid-February (slightly delayed, but only by a fortnight or so) is Journeys. It's a fantasy anthology featuring the short story Black Sails, by me (and also stories by Adrian Tchaikovsky, Julia Knight, et al).

Before then, I'm hoping to get the paperback of Kingdom Asunder sorted. There can be delays with this sort of thing (formatting for a hard copy can be trickier than for an e-book, and you need to actually get and check the copy in the flesh, which can take a while). I do plan to include, as per a reader suggestion, some family trees for the Houses of Penmere and Esden. No idea on pricing, but the way things work mean it'll probably be heftier than I'd like (back when I had Temple as both an e-book and paperback, the paperback was $8.99 or so, the e-book $2.99, and I made more per sale for the e-book).

There is good news for January, as it's Saint Francis' Day on the 24th. So, there shall be a sale. Oh yes. There shall be a sale. So, keep your eyes peeled and your ears pricked.

The Abridged (and free) edition of Kingdom Asunder is shifting far better than I expected. Obviously, I'd prefer the full edition to be the one making the running, but hopefully this'll still help when Traitor's Prize rolls around (planned for later this year). In a bid to avoid starvation and death, I'm also going to try broadening my writing.

In the meantime, if you haven't already do check out Kingdom Asunder. It's a damned good medieval fantasy.

    About Me
    I've always loved reading
and writing, particularly fantasy and classical history. I'm also quite into F1 and politics and have no idea why this section is double-spaced.
